The SP1-Cassette™ is a specialized cell sampling device for sperm viability and cell count applications, designed for use with the NucleoCounter® SP-100™ instrument.

The fluorophore, presidium iodide (PI), is immobilized and contained in the interior flow channel system of the cassette. Loading approximately 60 µl sperm cell sample in the cassette dissolves the PI and mixes it with the sample, staining the nuclei of sperm cells. The SP1-Cassette™ is used in conjunction with Reagent S100.
